Google Search Trends show that "Our digestive systems could use some help"

It would seem that we are facing a rising wave of upset stomachs (pardon the poor pun). If you look at recent trends in Google search you will see a broad set of searches that could be grouped together as Inflammatory conditions that impact our digestive system. Some appear to be autoimmune-based, others are triggered by stress, diet, and infection.

I'm not talking about temporary Nausea from Motion such as you can experience on a cruise, plane flight or car trip. As uncomfortable as that is these are great solutions and Ginger is I think the very best natural answer. You can read our previous blog on this.

Dried Organic Turmeric

A number of studies starting in 2005 have continued to show that Turmeric and the Curcumin it contains can do a good job of supporting your bodies healthy immune response including our digestive system. When I read the studies I see some common themes - Naturally complex products like Turmeric are not a "quick fix". They are not "prescription medications". Including Turmeric in your daily routines, over time has provided people with improved quality of life and when it is removed the apparent benefits decline over time.

Turmeric tends to be readily absorbed by our system and just as quickly removed by our natural processes. We suggest that it is far better to include small and regular amounts of turmeric in your diet daily than to take large quantities infrequently. You can choose from a wide range of Turmeric containing products both Food and Supplements that you can use to make your own customized plan that is right for you and your family. Here are a few ideas.

For food consider some of the following:

Turmeric Infused Honey - try it in oatmeal or as a great salad dressing with olive oil and apple cider vinegar.

Ginger Turmeric Green Tea - the combination of antioxidant-rich green tea and ginger with the properties of Turmeric in a zero sugar herbal tea is something that I encourage everyone to include in their day. Try 3 cups one in the morning at lunch and in the evening.

Supplements are a convenient way to get a measured amount of turmeric

Capsules - The Turmeric and Turmeric/Ginger capsules are made from our raw food dehydrated whole root crop. They are in 350 mg easy to swallow vegan capsules. Try one in the morning and one at night.

Liquid Concentrates - are water soluble and versatile. You can add them to any beverage or recipe. in 2 oz dropper top bottles, they can go anywhere with you.

If you are interested in reading some of the clinical studies I would suggest you visit the Chrones & Colitis Foundation and search fro Turmeric. They do great work and the site is full of useful information on living with Inflammatory Digestive Conditions.
